Team

Operators first. Investors second.

Two co-founders with careers spent at the sharp end of UK enterprise technology distribution — writing cheques into the founders we wish we had known when we started.

Rob Pooley, Co-Founder of Arx Ventures

Co-Founder

Rob Pooley

Rob has spent more than two decades building, scaling and exiting enterprise technology businesses. He spent 12 years scaling Softcat's security division before co-founding Saepio Information Security, growing it into a leading UK cybersecurity specialist and managing its acquisition in 2024. He remains a shareholder and board adviser. Rob brings deep experience in go-to-market strategy, channel development and building high-performing teams, and helps Arx portfolio founders to accelerate commercial growth and secure key enterprise introductions.

Maarten Donk, Co-Founder of Arx Ventures

Co-Founder

Maarten Donk

Maarten has built his career across enterprise technology sales and investment. He was part of the team that helped scale Softcat PLC into a FTSE 250 company, where he developed a C-level network across the UK channel spanning distributors, vendors and resellers. For the past five years he ran a UK family office, managing a public equity portfolio focused on US technology equities. Maarten studied at UCLA and Harvard University, and holds an Executive MBA from London Business School.

In their words
“Our edge is not information asymmetry. It is operational asymmetry — the ability to help founders win enterprise customers faster than they could without us.”
